Children will most likely be present, or even included, in your wedding. From your flower girl and ring bearer to your littlest nieces and nephews, you will certainly want to ensure that these little smiling faces are showcased throughout your wedding photo collection.
However, it is important to keep in mind that children aren’t always easy to photograph. But, with some tips, you can ensure that the little ones attending your big day are smiling for the camera.
We understand the importance of quality wedding photos! That’s why, here at One Fine Day Photographers & Video, we have gathered some tips to assist you in photographing children at your own wedding. Would you like to learn what these tips are? If so, continue reading to discover them:
- Props. Formal photos can take some time to capture. Therefore, it is incredibly easy for the little ones, such as your flower girl and ring bearer, to turn their attention elsewhere. You can keep them focused for photos with the use of props. Consider having them hold their basket and pillow, to keep them occupied.
- Poses. Standing up straight and smiling for the camera will of course create some gorgeous photos. However, you can add even more fun to your photo collection with some more creative poses. Have the children pull out their best superhero poses. Or, you can have them pose in unique ways, which will have them feeling as though photographs are more fun and games, rather than formal.
- Rewards. If we do something good in life, it’s always nice to get praised for it. Encourage the kids to take part in the photo session, and if they handle it well, offer them a present or a sweet treat. This way, you are granted with lovely photos, and the children are happy too!
Children are such a festive addition to wedding photos! These are just a few tips for capturing great photos of them.
